The Heavens

 Are Telling

The Glory Of God

The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.

In the heavens he has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom from his wedding canopy, and like a strong man runs its course with joy. Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them; and nothing is hid from its heat.

Psalm 19:1-6

In 1977 the United States launched a rocket into space. On board was a small craft called Voyager I, a space probe that was jettisoned into space to explore the planets. After Voyager was done sending back photos and data from Jupiter, it did not stop working. Today, almost 30 years later it is still traveling at the rate of 38,000 miles an hour. And it is nearly 9 billion miles from the sun. That is amazing. It is mind boggling. But what is even more amazing is the size of our universe, the one that God created.

We have barely begun to explore the vastness of what God has done, and if we know Jesus Christ, His Son, as our Savior, we know God, and He knows us.

Exploring our universe is amazing.

But exploring the God who made it all is beyond amazing.

The wonder of it all – just to think that God loves me.
