The King Of Glory

The earth is the LORD’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it; for he has founded it on the seas, and established it on the rivers.

Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false, and do not swear deceitfully. They will receive blessing from the LORD, and vindication from the God of their salvation. Such is the company of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

Life up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors!  that the King of glory may come in. Who is the King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah

Psalm 24:1-10

No matter what our age, we don’t like having someone tell us what to do. After all, that person might ask us to do something we don’t want to do, or put us in a situation we don’t want to be in. Therein lies the fear of trusting God. Afraid of putting control of our life into His hands, we prefer to dig in and not let Him do what is best for us.

Acknowledge that God is your boss. He does control your destiny. He is the ultimate authority. He wants to work with you and me to His glory. He is our God, our only God and we are here to give glory to His name, every day, and in all we do.

We belong to God. He is in charge. Our job is to trust in Him and live for Him.

God is our comfort at all times.
