She Opens Her Mouth

 With Wisdom

She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her happy; her husband too, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her a share in the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the city gates.

Proverbs 31:26-31

The labor to bring a child into the world is only the beginning. How essential it is that Mom take care of herself spiritually so she can take care of her children.

The woman described in Proverbs placed a high value on wisdom, kindness and a respect for the LORD. This Mother’s Day, honor the women in our lives who share their wisdom, show us kindness, and who seek above all to honor the Lord.
