Make The
Word Of God
Fully Known
I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for your sake, and in my
flesh I am completing what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of
his body, that is, the church. I became its servant according to God’s
commission that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,
the mystery that has been hidden throughout the ages and generations but has
now been revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great
among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ
in you, the hope of glory. It is he whom we proclaim, warning everyone and
teaching everyone in all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in
Christ. For this I toil and struggle with all the energy that he powerfully
inspires within me.
Colossians 1:24-29
You should not let life happen to you,
you should let life happen through you. Instead of dodging the fiery darts of
life and using all of your energies to shield yourself from those darts, you
should let God’s life and love be channeled through you. That will be a
blessing from God to you and then on to others, through you.
Choose to become the pipeline of God instead of life’s
dartboard. That way you can begin living more effectively for Him. Some days
you will revert to being a dartboard, but you will soon run out of the love and
power to bless others. Through confession, faith, and obedience, you can
reconnect with the pipeline of energy from heaven.
Paul faced many troubles. Yet he was determined to be a channel
of blessing by allowing God to work through him. What about you? Are you a
dartboard or a pipeline? It is a challenge and a choice for every believer.
God blesses you to bless others.
