A Life

 Worthy Of The Calling

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:1-6

Do you love one another? Do you help widows and orphans? If you have something, do you give freely to those who have nothing? If you see a stranger, do you take him home and treat him like a real brother?

As believers in Jesus Christ, whatever our differences of denominations, preferences, or worship styles - we are still one spiritual body that acknowledges the same heavenly Father. The example of our spiritual forebears can be an instructive challenge to us as disciples of Jesus in the 21st century.

Do all you can to demonstrate your unity in Christ? Unity in our diverse world can be the most effective witness to this sin-fractured world.

Unity among Christians comes from their union with Christ.
