I Revere Your Commandments
Let your steadfast love come to me, O
LORD, your salvation according to your promise. Then I shall have an answer for
those who taunt me, for I trust in your word. Do not take the word of truth
utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your ordinances. I will keep your
law continually, forever and ever. I shall walk at liberty, for I have sought
your precepts. I will also speak of your decrees before kings, and shall not be
put to shame; I find my delight in your commandments, because I love them. I
revere your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes.
Is the Bible open in your heart for
people to see? Do your actions give evidence that you are meditating on God’s
Word?
Psalm 119 is filled with praise for the wonder of God’s Word, along with the writer’s promise to live by it and share it with others.
Every life is an open book. Seek to
demonstrate the love and power of God’s Word, the Bible, for everyone to see.
Of all the
commandments on the Scriptures,
good examples are the
best.
