Intoxicated Always

By Her Love

Drink Water from your own cistern, flowing water from your own well. Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets? Let them be for yourself alone, and not for sharing with strangers. Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. May her breasts satisfy you at all times; may you be intoxicated always by her love.

Proverbs 5:15-19

Things look differently as we get older. We should see our wives as our best friends and life-long companions, not as our competition.

Take a look at wife after thirty years of marriage. The kids are grown. The kids are mirrors of the values you set forth when you first got married. Your job ends with them as they grow up, but your role with your wife continues on. There is a life after kids. Reawaken that life and get to know your wife again. Don’t wait until it is too late.

May you always be intoxicated

by the love

of your wife.
