The LORD is my portion; I promise to keep your words. I implore your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise. Fellowship is an essential part of what it means to be a Christian. The Bible has numerous examples of companionship: David had Jonathan. Paul had Silas. Mark had Barnabas. Jesus had His disciples. The churches in Acts were made up of people who stood together in sometimes hostile and difficult circumstances. The church is a fellowship, a community. Our circle of Christian friends helps us in many ways as we walk together along the path God has laid out for us. They offer just the kind of companionship we need.
