A Faith As Precious As Ours

Simeon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who have received a faith as precious as ours through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

May grace and peace be yours in abundance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

His divine power has given us everything needed for life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Thus he has given us, through these things, his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may escape from the corruption that is in the world because of lust, and may become participants of the divine nature.

2 Peter 1:1-4

Do you realize how valuable the Bible is? It is the basis for our faith, but how often do you read it, really read it?

The greatest cause for our neglect of the Bible is not lack of time, but a lack of heart. Someone else's word is taking the place of the Word of Christ. There are many good books and magazines to read, but we should never neglect the mysteries of God's grace and love that are written on every page of the Bible.

Ask God to give you a desire for His Word and a hunger to taste His goodness every day.

It is an awesome responsibility to own a Bible.
