The Righteous Flourish

The righteous flourish like the palm tree, and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God. In old age they still produce fruit; they are always green and full of sap, showing that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Psalm 92:12-15

How many old trees do you see that look dead from the outside, but every year new leaves fill the branches? Life goes on. We all have a value to God. At different times of our lives we have different attributes, and we are called to use them wisely. Our ability to endure, or even to flourish, is dependent on being rooted in Christ. Those who read His word, reflect on it, and pray it into their lives bring forth the fruit of the Spirit, even into old age.

Better than counting your years

is making all your years count.
