Keep Your Heart

With All Vigilance

My child, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them escape from your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Put away from your crooked speech, and put devious talk far from you. Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Keep straight the path of your feet, and all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.

Proverbs 4:20-27

By the time you reach the age of 40, your heart has already beat more than 1.5 billion times. With each beat, you can change your life, through Jesus Christ. When your heart stops beating, it will be too late to change anything. So make sure your physical heart and spiritual heart are in tune with God. Trust the LORD and choose to be gracious, patient, and loving. Do not yield to bitterness, greed and pride. Care for your heart. Keep it spiritually fit. Control your weight: Maybe you need to lose the weight of unnecessary burdens and cares. Maintain your pulse: Maintain a steady rhythm of gratitude and praise. Keep your blood pressure in line: Make sure your trust is greater than your anxiety. Watch your diet: Enjoy the life-giving nutrients of the Word of God.
