Think With Sober Judgment

For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually, we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophesy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness.

Romans 12:3-8

The death of C.S. Lewis on November 22, 1963, has long been overshadowed by the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on that date. The impact Lewis has had is immense. His books sell more than three million copies a year, and his impact grows, even 40 years after his death. Converted to Christ as an adult, Lewis put his mind and imagination to work in the service of God. Lewis gave us the incomparable gift of a fresh, creative look at our fallen human condition and the timeless power of the gospel of Christ.
