Simply Obey The Lord

Trust in the LORD with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know. Remember the LORD in everything you do, and he will show you the right way. Never let yourself think that you are wiser than you are; simply obey the LORD and refuse to do wrong. If you do, it will be like good medicine, healing your wounds and easing your pains. Honor the LORD by making him an offering from the best of all that your land produces. If you do, your barns will be filled with grain, and you will have too much wine to store it all.

Son, when the LORD corrects you, pay close attention and take it as a warning. The LORD corrects those he loves, as a father corrects a son of whom he is proud. Happy is the man who becomes wise - whom comes to have understanding. There is more profit in it than there is in silver; it is worth more to you than gold. Wisdom is more valuable than jewels; nothing you could want can compare with it. Wisdom offers you long life, as well as wealth and honor. Wisdom can make your life pleasant and lead you safely through it. Those who become wise are happy; wisdom will give them life.

Proverbs 3:5-18

God has many good things for youth. We need to let our youth know of the Good News in store for those who accept Jesus. God's way will provide: long life and peace, favor in the sight of God, direction from God, health and strength, abundance, happiness. The person who trusts, honors, and fears the LORD will find wisdom, which is an incomparable prize. With God we will receive all of these things - eternally.

The world spends millions to convince our children that they can't be happy without good clothes and shoes. How much more we have to offer them by showing them that happiness comes as we walk with God.

What we leave in our children is more important

than what we leave to them.
