Good People Will Be Remembered

As A Blessing

These are Solomon's proverbs: A wise son makes his father proud of him: a foolish one brings his mother grief.

Wealth you get by dishonesty will do you no good, but honesty can save your life.

The LORD will not let good people go hungry, but he will keep the wicked from getting what they want.

Being lazy will make you poor, but hard work will make you rich.

A sensible man gathers the crops when they are ready; it is a disgrace to sleep through the time of harvest.

A good man will receive blessings. A wicked man's words hide a violent nature.

Good people will be remembered as a blessing, but the wicked will soon be forgotten.

Proverbs 10:1-7

On Memorial Day in the United States, thousands of people visit cemeteries and monuments to remember and honor their loved ones. They ponder a name carved in stone and recall the person for whom it stands. When people hear your name, do they think of someone who is faithfully living for Christ? By our attitudes and actions, we are creating the memories that will be associated with our names in life and in death. Today we have an opportunity to renew our commitment to Christ and to the making of a good name - a name that honors Him and encourages those we love for years to come. Do you have a good name?

The memory of a faithful life speaks more eloquently than words.
